  • Free Tax Prep

    Dates: Wednesdays and Thursdays Feb 5th through April 15th.

    Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

    Location: Community Room

    No appointment is required.

    Congregants may notice increased weekday activity at St. Paul’s over the next 10 weeks as we are providing access to our Community Room to AARP-sponsored, federally certified taxpreparation volunteers, offering free tax preparation services. This service is open to all,

    (The volunteers cannot handle taxpayers with more complicated returns.)

  • Lent Madness!

    Dates: Sundays 3/2 - 4/13

    Time: After church

    Location: Community Room

    Who will win the golden halo!? Join us as Fr. Greg Larkin leads this fun “tournament” of the Saints. Here’s how Lent Madness works: on the weekdays of Lent, information is posted at www.lentmadness.org about two different saints. Each pairing remains open for 24 hours as participants read about and then vote to determine which saint moves on to the next round. Fill in your “brackets” and see how you fare! This is a unique opportunity to learn about the Saints and have some light-hearted competition. We will teach you how to participate, and meet up weekly to discuss and learn!

  • 1st Monday Book Club

    Date: March 3rd

    For the month of February, we will be reading How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. There is no doubt this will be an inspirational read for us to become our most courageous selves. If you saw the recent service at the Washington National Cathedral, then you know she literally practices what she preaches! We will meet on Monday, March 3 to discuss our insights. 5:30 on Zoom.

  • Island Trip with Spirituality in Nature Group

    Date: March 22, 2025

    Time: 8:15 am - 5:30 pm

    Location: Starting at Island Packers in Ventura to Santa Cruz Island and back

    Cost: $30 per person. RSVP is required by March 4!

    Join our Dean the Very Rev. Melissa Campbell-Langdell and the Executive Committee of the Deanery for a day of boating, hiking, and deanery connections! All laity and clergy of the Deanery are invited. You will have a chance to see ocean wildlife like whales and dophins, and hike 2 miles on the island, seeing species that are unique only to this island, one of the few that are part of Channel Islands National Park. St. Paul's Ventura Parishioner and Spirituality in Nature Group leader Dan Wakelee will lead the Deanery on an Excursion to  Santa Cruz Island.

  • Men's Group

    In March, the Men’s Group will begin a new study of Bishop Michael Curry's book "Love Is The Way." Please join!

    Small groups are important, and we encourage them at St. Paul’s. The men’s group has meet ups twice weekly for food, fellowship and study.

    The men’s group also meets on Fridays - Breakfast, 7 am Black Bear Diner

    Join us as we dive into scripture with our Associate Priest Rev. Vicki Mouradian. With this contemplative Bible study, you are encouraged to ask your questions, reflect on faith, and have support on your faith journey.

  • Women's Online Study

    We are a small group of women from St. Paul’s and the Ventura community that meet weekly on Zoom to study scripture and share fellowship. If you’ve ever wondered about Revelation and wanted to study to see what it’s all about, now is a great time. We will begin our ten week study of Revelation, Eternal King, Everlasting Kingdom by Jen Wilkin on Friday, January 10th.  The study guide (with an access code for the online video teachings) is available through Lifeway or Amazon. Jen Wilkin is a Bible teacher and author from Dallas. She will be speaking at a conference in Santa Clarita in September. If you are interested in checking out the new study or the group, please contact Suzanne McCombs for Zoom details and more information.
