Special Occasions & Sacraments

Holy Baptism

At St. Paul's, the sacrament of Holy Baptism is a sacred and joyous occasion, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Baptism is an outward and visible sign of God's grace at work in our lives. This celebration involves the entire Christian community as we come together to renew our baptismal vows and reaffirm our faith in Jesus Christ. Baptisms at St. Paul's are offered throughout the year for individuals of all ages, providing an opportunity to embrace the life of the Church through this transformative rite.

For those who have already been baptized, Confirmation is an opportunity to make a mature public affirmation of faith. This sacramental rite invites individuals to deepen their commitment to Christ through the laying on of hands by a bishop, symbolizing the strengthening presence of the Holy Spirit. At St. Paul's, both youth and adults are welcomed to take this important step in their spiritual journey. Our Confirmation classes are also a wonderful way for newcomers to learn about the church.

Confirmation

Reception

Reception into the Episcopal Church is a formal acknowledgment of becoming a member, honoring the commitment made in one's previous denomination, including Confirmation. Those wishing to be received benefit from participating in our Confirmation classes.

Weddings

Holy Matrimony is a sacred union. In line with Episcopal tradition, at least one partner must be a baptized Christian, and the ceremony must meet the legal and canonical requirements of both the church and the state. St. Paul’s welcomes both same-gender and opposite-gender couples to celebrate their marriage within the church.

End-of-Life Concerns & Memorials

The loss of a loved one is a time to celebrate their life and find comfort within the community. At St. Paul's, we offer pastoral care and guidance throughout the end-of-life and memorial planning process, ensuring individuals and families are supported during this difficult time. Parish members are encouraged to plan their funeral in advance with clergy. St. Paul's also provides a Memorial Garden for the interment of ashes, offering a peaceful resting place where loved ones can be remembered.
